World War III Day 4October 12, 2007World War III Day 4
I woke up earlier than anyone this morning. I snuck up the steps and went outside. When I gout outside I just let loose and cried. I still cant believe that Rich and Tammy are gone. I didnt really cry yesterday because I didnt want Manda to lose hope. About 15 minutes after I woke up and went outside Doug came out. I dont know what it is about Doug and Steph. They always have a way of making me feel better. I dont know what Id do without them. They are really good friends. We started to discuss going to Jack and Loiss house. Thats Stephs mom

Eric is sleeping. Its about time, and Im just hoping hell sleep long enough to get a good nights sleep. He has been so aware of everything around him (for good reason) that he has practically been awake for the past few days straight. Anyways, So we stayed at Rich and Tammys last night, and in the morning, we started heading north again. We walked past Tammys parents house, next door, and decided to see if they were still in the house, although we had heard no commotion over the night.
We as we approached, we had seen that the door was slightly ajar, so we a

Manda and I woke up this morning when the sun rose. We camped out in what we thought were the woods, but we were pretty close to someones house. They were long gone, but it was weird cause we were so close to it. We didnt even see it in the dark and without lights on inside. We continued our hike north with D-O-G, her dog, following behind us. We hiked for about an hour when we ran into a platoon of soldiers. The soldiers didnt see us but they saw the dog. Apparently, in China, Russia, or wherever the hell they are from they dont keep dogs as pets because they shot her. I had to keep

Im writing this to have a record of whats going on in the world. Last night on the way home from work the emergency broadcast signal came over the radio. I expected to hear something about severe storms, but instead I found out that the United States was being attacked. When I got home I found Manda crying in front of the tv. Once I got her calmed down we decided that it would be best to go to Doug and Stephs. They live in a more remote area so we decided it would be safer. Trey, Mandas little brother, decided that it wasnt a good idea to leave a populated area so he was going to head

WW III Day 3I feel like I'm a total wreck. Nate and Trinity are sleeping and Jake is coloring - I guess at least their lives are still pretty close to normal - besides living in the basement. Doug suggested that I just take a couple minutes to relax - I guess I've been going non stop since this whole thing started - trying to figure out what to do to keep the kids safe till doug got home and then getting the basement livable for curious hands. So anyway I decide to try to write to get myself calmed down a little bit. It worked when I was an emotional disaster as a teenager - I hope it will work now.WW III Day 3
